Switzerland, 1993
Born in 1993 in Fribourg, Switzerland, Alexandra Fuchs is an architect and designer with a passion for merging art, craftsmanship, and technology. She earned her Master’s degree in Art and Architecture from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL) in 2020.
During her studies, she spent a year in Antwerp with Eagles of Architecture, an eclectic practice where she explored the intersection of architecture, scenography, and exhibition design—an experience that later influenced her work at Atelier Oï. After graduating, she contributed to Svizzera 27, a key project for the Swiss National Exhibition 2027, in collaboration with Atelier Oï.
In the midst of this intense period, Alexandra was diagnosed with a brain tumour, requiring months of treatment and rehabilitation. Rather than letting this challenge define her, she channelled her resilience into a new creative direction. She joined her partner, architect Marlon Bietry, to work on private projects, including the transformation of the Condor factory in Jura and the renovation of La Petite Rochette, a historic manor in Neuchâtel.
Alongside her recovery, Alexandra delved into music, poetry, and drawing, nurturing a growing interest in furniture design. This led to her first collection, Bravoure Sauvage, a bold series of eight unique plexiglass lamp-tables inspired by the fluid forms of the 1960s and 70s. Her work quickly gained recognition, with Espaces Contemporains magazine featuring her designs and propelling her onto the Swiss design scene.
To support her creative vision, Alexandra founded Adèle Dialog, a platform dedicated to exploring projects at the crossroads of design, art, and innovation.
